WATSKY MUSIC was formed in 2005 by hit songwriter Dennis Matkosky and music business executive Jonathan Watkins.  They met working on projects together in Nashville (Watkins as an A&R guy and Dennis as producer/writer) and always talked about one day forming their own publishing company – determined to be a more writer friendly business that would be involved in all kinds of music.

That someday came about when they formed Watsky (a funny combo of their names they came up with while sitting in a backyard with a cocktail in hand – obviously) and signed their first songwriter – Travis Howard.

Now with writers in LA and Nashville and two music production libraries, Watsky Music continues to be a success story born out of the love of songwriters, all music and of course – friendship.
